February 23, 2016
New York, NY

Social media is a puzzlement to many Board Directors. Many of us react to this new technology with skepticism, focusing on potential risks: risks to privacy, confidential information, and reputation as well as new vulnerabilities to misinformation, employee misconduct and cyberattack. Yet there is another side: Social media developments have “ fundamentally and rapidly“ changed business as usual, transforming core business processes of every stripe, ranging from brand promotion and customer targeting to employee recruiting and collaboration. As these trends continue and accelerate, and consumers and employees continue to shift to social media as a primary means of communication, how will companies be affected? What should directors be doing now to ensure that their companies have the appropriate social media toolkit, and be positioned to deploy social media for maximum strategic advantage? Join our panel of experienced board members and leading experts for a discussion of how directors can help their companies evaluate, react to, and thrive in this brave new world.
